Malaysia beat Hong Kong 3-2 in Group D 2012 Thomas Cup qualifying Asia Zone in Macau.



World No. 1 player, Datuk Lee Chong Wei contributed Malaysia's first points after easily beat Wing Ki Wong 21-18, 22-20 in 42 minutes while Malaysia's doubles, Koo Kien Keat / Tan Boon Heong tame Lo Lok Kei / Leung Chun Yiu, 21-9, 21 -14 in 21 minutes.



But the 2003 All England champion, Muhammad Hafiz Hashim failed to give points to Malaysia after defeat to Hu Yun 20-22, 18-21 in 42 minutes.




Malaysia's second doubles, Lim Khim Wah / Goh V Shem gave the next point for Malaysia when they beat Wong Wai Hong / Lee Chun Hei 21-14, 21-16 in 27 minutes.



Malaysia dropped another point when the third singles Liew Darren had to play three sets before succumbing 21-17, 16-21, 19-21 to Chan Yan Kit in 62 minutes.






In other qualifying match, South Korea beat Hong Kong 5-0 on Monday.
