Fatihah, Josiah gained last gold 2012 ACC track event



Malaysia close track event of 32nd Asian Cycling Championships and 19th Asian Junior Cycling Championships by adding two gold and two silver.


A gold earned by Fatehah Mustapa and Josiah Ng, respectively, in the Keirin event Elite Women and Men, while the silver medal donated by Mohd Azizul Awang (Elite Men) and Ummi Hamimah Mohamad (Teenage Girls) in the same event.

Fatehah, 23, carved out its own history when the success of the gold medal today make her a female rider Malaysia to earn gold medals at the Asian Cycling Championships.

The silver medal of the Women Elit event was won by Xu Yulei from China and Lee Wai Sze of Hong Kong, won the bronze.


Besides the gold medal, Fatehah also won a silver in the sprint event and a bronze in the 500m time trial.



Meanwhile, veteran rider Josiah, who made his first start at home more than a decade, has please the local fans when finished to give the position 1-2 to Malaysia by Mohd Azizul won silver.

Japanese rider, Yudai Nitta won the bronze medal.


After finishing the track event, Malaysia so far are in third place overall with three gold, three silver and two bronze medals, while Hong Kong and China lead with 5-3-4 with 4-2-2.

Asian Cycling Championships and Asian Junior Cycling Championships will continue on the highway racing event will start on Tuesday.
