Men's field hockey Qualifying Tournaments for the 2012 Summer Olympics (Malaysia vs Russia)

Malaysia overcame Ukraine 5-1 at hockey qualifiers for the Olympic Games 2012 in Dublin, Ireland.

Although, Malaysia has maintained its unbeaten record after three games, their real test completion Tai Beng Hai squad awaits next against South Korea, Thursday.

Besides South Korea, Malaysia will meet Ireland in the last game for this qualifier, which also maintained its unbeaten run.

However, Malaysia needs to make a serious constellation after going three games here before dealing with the real tests on two important games after this.

In the game on Tuesday, Malaysia does not have a problem to make a win, but the amount of goal produced from South Korea and Ireland should be addressed.

After three games, Malaysia has scored 16 goals and  Ireland and South Korea respectively 18 and 14 goals clog after two games.

Malaysia is ahead of Ukraine 2-0 at half-time through goals from Tengku Ahmad Tajudin Tengku Abdul Jalil in the 23rd minute, followed Hafifihafiz Hanafi in the 32nd minute.

In the second half, Muhammad Razie Abdul Rahim completed the  penalty corner in the 48th minute to put Malaysia on comfortable position, 3-0.

However, Ukraine, bottom team in the six teams tournament, rose for a while to score a consolation through a penalty corner that executed by Viacheslav Paziuk in the 57th minute.

Malaysia added two more goals in the last 10 minutes of the game through Muhammad Amin Rahim in the 60th minute and Mohamad Abdul Muttalib Sukri in the 69th minute.

Malaysia top of the table after tournament's host drew 1-1 with South Korea.
