Premier League 2011-12 week 28 part 2

Manchester City surrendered top place in the Premier League after a 1-0 defeat to Swansea at Liberty Stadium.

The hosts' valiant display was rewarded late on when Luke Moore headed Wayne Routledge's cross into the net for the winner.

Manchester United cruised to the top of the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion thanks to a Wayne Rooney double.

A 94th-minute goal from Thomas Vermaelen handed Arsenal a 2-1 triumph over Newcastle on Monday, their fifth Premier League win in succession.

Hatem Ben Arfa opened the scoring at the Emirates Stadium with a venomous strike in the 14th minute before Robin van Persie equalised just seconds after the restart.

Just when it looked like the points would be shared, Vermaelen was in the right place at the right time to sweep home Theo Walcott's cross in the fourth minute of stoppage time to hand Arsenal a crucial win that pulls them to within one point of third-placed Spurs.

Goals in either half from Wes Hoolahan and Victor Moses saw Norwich City and Wigan play out an entertaining 1-1 draw at Carrow Road.
