Wan Zaharulnizam & Wan Zack Haikal will going to FC Ryuku

Harimau Muda's nippy winger, Wan Zaharulnizam Wan Zakaria, who was impressive during his two appearances against Japan in the 2012 Olympic qualifiers has been offered to undergo trials with Japanese club FC Ryukyu.

FC Ryukyu ply their trade in the third-tier of the Japanese Football League, independent of the J-League.

Better known as 'Kecik' due to his small frame, Wan Zaharulnizam caught the attention of a Japanese scouting agency, Japan Dream FA, during his appearance at the Tosu Stadium last year.

He will be joined in the trials by another wing wizard, Wan Zack Wan Haikal who has tasted European football, plying his trade for Corgon Liga side, FC Zlate Moravce Vion.

Both Wan Zack and Wan Zaharulnizam currently feature for the Harimau Mudas in the S.League and have played key roles in helping their team to a 100% start.

The news was confirmed by Young Tigers coach, Ong Kim Swee when the team left for their last Olympic qualifiers against Syria.

“The agent came up to me during our first clash against Japan and told me the club was interested in Kecik,” said Ong to Malaysian daily, The Malay Mail.
