Bundesliga 2011-12 week 28 part 1
Stuttgart scored a late equaliser to rescue a point in a thrilling 4-4 draw with Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund on Friday night.
Stuttgart overturned a 2-0 deficit in the second half, making it 3-2 entering the final 10 minutes of the match.
But Dortmund scored twice within six minutes to take the lead before Stuttgart replied with a last-gasp equaliser.
In a highly entertaining first half, Shinji Kagawa put the hosts ahead on 33 minutes, before Jakub Blaszczykowski added a second just after half-time when he took down a well-weighted long pass from Mats Hummels and tucked his finish below Sven Ulreich.
Stuttgart turned the game late and in emphatic manner with three goals in eight minutes.
Vedad Ibisevic pulled one back in the 71st minute with a superb low strike inside the right post, and just minutes later Julian Schieber scored a double that stunned the home fans and swung the score 3-2 in favour of the visitors.
Moments later, the ex-Germany U21 international latched onto a fine ball from Hajnal and again beat Roman Weidenfeller.
But three minutes after the go-ahead goal, Hummels restored parity with a low drive from the edge of the box, before Dortmund grabbed the ascendancy again when substitute Ivan Perisic found the back of the net.
But in the second minute of injury time, Christian Gentner, who also came off the bench, made it 4-4 to earn a point for the visitors.
