Germany up in the world ranking position




Germany is now up to second place in the latest FIFA world rankings, with world champion Spain still at the top and Uruguay up to third, their highest position achieved.

Increase in Germany and Uruguay rankings was from their achievement to beat World Cup finalists, Netherlands who dropped to fourth and out of the top three for the first time since June 2010.

Portugal jumped two spot to fifth position, push 2014 World Cup hosts, Brazil fell one spot, while ninth position, Denmark was ranked the highest since August 1997.

Italy fell 3 spot to 12th position and Argentina fell 2 spot to 10th position.
