Premier League 2011-12 week 32 part 2

Tottenham frustrated after settling for a 0-0 draw with Sunderland.

Blackburn's hopes of avoiding relegation were dealt a blow on Saturday when they were beaten 3-0 by West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.

An early own-goal from Martin Olsson put Blackburn under pressure, a 68th-minute strike from Marc-Antoine Fortune doubled the lead and a Liam Ridgewell header with five minutes remaining sealed the win for Roy Hodgson's side.

A second-half winner from Peter Crouch gave Stoke City a 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.

Michael Kightly had given Wolves the lead in the first half, but they were pegged back for the third successive match - first by a Robert Huth volley before Crouch pounced to give the home side all three points.

Manchester United moved a step closer to retaining the Premier League title with a controversial 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

Wayne Rooney scored from the penalty spot after Shaun Derry was harshly sent off having been penalised for a challenge on Ashley Young in the box.

The England winger appeared to be in an offside position as he looked to receive a Rooney through ball.

Paul Scholes added a second after the break to wrap up three points and pile the pressure on Manchester City.

Manchester City all but surrendered the Premier League title to Manchester United after losing 1-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta scored the only goal of the game five minutes from time to send the home fans into raptures, although Mario Balotelli was sent off for a second bookable offence.
