Astro Super League 2012 matchday 5 part 1

Justin Ganai's Sabah came from two goals down to grab a point at Petaling Jaya

It was a game to remember for two Michaels. PKNS’s Michael Nicoise and Sabah’s Michael Baird proved to be the toast for both sides as they helped their teams to a 2-2 draw in the Petaling Jaya Stadium.

Michael Nicoise proved to be the difference in the first-half as he scored his first goal in the Super League. The striker thumped in a thunderous 30-metre free-kick to give his side the lead.

Just minutes into the second half, PKNS nabbed their second goal with another brilliant effort from Nicoise. Receiving a pass from Rudie Ramli, the Frenchman dribbled past Sabah skipper Rethauddin Emran and unleashed an unstoppable shot past Azizon Kadir.

In the 73rd minute, Baird pulled one back for his team when he headed in from a cross by the nippy Sharudin Yakop.

Barely ten minutes later, Baird and Yakop switched roles in grabbing the equaliser. The Australian's cross found Yakop who duly obliged by heading the ball home to bring the score level with just seven minutes left to play.
