Robin Van Persie struck a stunning double to lead Arsenal to a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

The Reds took the lead after Laurent Koscielny made an own goal in the 23rd minute. Van Persie scored the equalizing goal in the 31st minute after received a superb cross from Bacary Sagna.

But just as the game appeared to be petering out into a draw, another piece of brilliance from Van Persie won it. Having once again escaped the attentions of Carragher, the Dutchman met Alex Song's brilliant chipped pass with a sumptuous volley which flew past Reina.







Manchester City cemented their place at the top with a dominant victory over struggling Bolton Wanderers, 2-0 on Saturday.
