QPR to Kota Kinabalu this July


Queens Park Rangers have announced that they will visit Thailand and Malaysia for pre-season game.

QPR chairman, Tony Fernandes expressed that he is excited about Rangers coming to his home country this July.


"We are pleased and proud to go to Asia for pre-season game," he said in QPR's official website.

"The fans in Asia has been with QPR since we are involved with this club and it is a great things for us to give them the opportunity to come and see the team play for the first time.

"This is a good opportunity to further develop our brand in Asia."

He added that:

"This has led QPR on a global stage that is very important for promoting of our brand.

"I also can't wait to go to eastern Malaysia which is also home to AirAsia. To my knowledge, no one has been to Sabah. I am proud we have not forgotten all those who helped to develop AirAsia with bringing QPR to Sabah."

Asian Tour will start on July 10 in Bangkok, which is their first destination.

After that they will depart to Kota Kinabalu for training sessions and play against Sabah FA selection on July 18 at the Likas Stadium, Sabah.
